| I am writing on behalf of Cornerstone University and Haiti Foundation Against Poverty. We are working together to host a silent/live auction to fundraise money for the opening of a school in the slum of Cite Soleil, Haiti. This slum is the poorest and most dangerous slum in the western hemisphere. The majority of the children are orphaned with no school in their community for them to attend. We have contacted businesses in the area to receive donations. Currently we have donations such free stays in hotels and bed and breakfasts, a private plane ride, a new electric guitar and amp, home décor items, and much more! We would like to invite your church body to attend our auction. Not only will it be an evening of enjoyment, but it is also for a very good cause. The auction will be held in the Corum Student Union on Cornerstone’s campus November 16th from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Attached is a flyer with additional information. Feel free to make copies for your church. We would also love for you to include this information in your church bulletin if it is at all possible. If you would like further information about Haiti Foundation Against Poverty please visit www.haitipoverty.org or call (989) 430-4284. If you need directions to Cornerstone’s campus, please visit www.cornerstone.edu. | | |
| over this weekend we have had some deaths on the survivor wall. Friday night Kemp the cuddler feel off the wall due to a blanket, but that was nothing compaired to last night. Last night around 1am 3 people lost their positions on the Survivor wall. First Amanda Tyink couldn't handle the butt rub, then Michael Warari feel off by the pillow attack, then Skippy let go of the wall by another attack of the pillow. 4 down, 20 to go...who will win SURVIVOR!! | | |
